The Senator representing Plateau North Federal Constituency, Sen. Prince Pam Dachungyang Mwadkwon, says there are eight local government agencies from which he has identified one or two projects that will take effect immediately, after the cessation of that particular epidemic.

He was speaking to newsmen shortly after addressing people of his constituency during his “Thank You” tour of Jos North Local Government Area to appreciate the people for voting him to represent them in the higher Chamber.

According to him, his mission in the area was to thank them and also ask them to be patient, as they expect the best this time around, and assured them of his support.

Earlier, before addressing the crowd, Senator Mwadkwon paid homage to the traditional council of Kabong, Acting Gwom Kabong Da Anthony, and newly elected Gwom Da Emmanuel Pam, and other council members, and also met with Council Chairman and members of Jos North Local Government to thank them for their support during his election.

The Senator also addressed the Muslim and Christian leaders, saying that he would have been there earlier than now, but it was because of the (pending) court case and had to wait for it to end to know, if he will win or not.

He said, nobody should deceive them that he will look for Senate seat again, adding, “It was by God’s grace that I am there today.

“There are eight local government agencies, and I have identified one or two projects that will take effect immediately, after the cessation of that particular epidemic. This should be around June. So, that is what I’m asking them to look forward to,” Mwadkwon stated.

While speaking on the conversion of Plateau State Polytechnic into a federal institution, he said, “It’s a good development for the state. It will relieve the state government of a significant financial burden.

“The need for this conversion arose because the University of Science and Technology goes beyond the traditional university structure that includes multiple disciplines.

“As we all know, the people of Plateau State have a strong inclination towards science-based education, and many of them have to leave the state to pursue their studies elsewhere. I believe this initiative will help bring our people back home,” he stated.

Senator Mwadkwon further explained that, “Technology is a key sector not just in Nigeria but globally. It drives development and fosters self-reliance.

“Converting the polytechnic into a federal institution will provide a more practical and beneficial avenue for people to pursue technological advancements,” he said.

The State Chairman, Mr Bitrus Boyi Ngah, said, after his election, he has returned to call everyone from the constituency, across all political parties, to express his gratitude.

He said, “The Senator has said he was not seeking for election, that he did not expect to be elected, but God chose him. Just as you are not looking for the next election, God will find you. God will locate you for the next election.

“We are holding this rally to thank the good people of Jos North Local Government for their immense support. At the national level, as a result of his election, we have been given two national positions in the Action Democratic Party in Nigeria.

“This is what God has used you to do for Plateau State, and I would not be surprised, if one day, you rise even further to become the Senate President of Nigeria,” he noted.

According to him, “Because we lost Senator Samuel Mwadkwon as the Minority Leader of the Senate, and God brought you from a minority party to make you a Senator. In the same way, He can elevate you from a minority leader to Senate President in His name – because, God works in wonders, and His power knows no limits. We are merely instruments in His hands.”

Meanwhile, Senator Pam Dachungyang Mwadkwon has taken his Thank You tour to four local government areas, out of six that comprises his constituency, which include Bassa, Jos South, Jos East and Jos North, while B/Ladi will be on Monday and Riyom on Tuesday, to round-up his tour.
