Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) has received about 5,000 unclaimed Drivers’ Licenses from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

In this development, the PSIRS has announced that it will begin the distribution, from Monday, 13th to Friday, from 8am to 5pm daily.

A statement was signed by the Head of Corporate Communications Department of PSIRS, Wulashik Lucius Dafaan, and made available to the public, urging those who are yet to collect their driving license to take advantage of the exercise and collect theirs without delay.

According to him, the exercise is aimed at ensuring that all outstanding drivers’ licenses are delivered to their rightful owners, while encouraging applicants who have been waiting for their licenses to visit the Service’s Headquarters for collection.

It also called on citizens of the State, who have applied for their drivers’ licenses but are yet to collect them, to visit the PSIRS Headquarters at No. 6 Bank Road, Jos, for immediate collection.

He explained that, the licenses have remained unclaimed for some time and are now available for collection during official working hours, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-to-Friday.

They also urged applicants, who have applied, to come along with valid means of identification and any other relevant documents that may be required to verify their identity and facilitate a smooth collection process.
