Recognizing the pressing issue of out-of-school children crisis worldwide, a renowned education advocate, Caleb Danladi, has put forward visionary plans to address the menace.
In a statement in Kaduna weekend, Mr Danladi believed that, with focus on collaboration and sustainable solutions, the proposed steps aimed at bringing millions of children back into the educational fold is achievable.
He words: “In response to the alarming numbers of out-of-school children globally, Caleb Danladi Foundation advocates for a strategic and holistic approach.”
Also, in a recent press conference, Caleb Danladi, who is founder of the Foundation, outlined key steps necessary to reverse the trend and ensure that every child has access to quality education.
Mr. Danladi emphasized the need to identify – and understand – the root causes of children being out of school, saying, “These may include financial barriers, cultural factors, conflicts, or inadequate infrastructure.
“By pinpointing these causes, tailored solutions can be developed to address the specific challenges in each region.
“Local communities play a crucial role in the success of any educational initiative,” Danladi stressed, and highlighted the importance of engaging with communities to gain insights into their unique challenges and perspectives.
“By involving community members in decision-making processes, initiatives are more likely to be culturally sensitive and sustainable.
“Governments and policymakers are urged to enact inclusive policies that address the diverse needs of children. This includes providing financial assistance to families in need, creating safe and accessible learning environments, and implementing flexible education models that accommodate different circumstances,” he stated.
Danladi, therefore, called for increased collaboration between governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international bodies to pool resources and expertise.
“By working together, these entities can create synergies, avoid duplication of efforts and maximize the impact of interventions,” he noted.
In an era of technological advancements, Danladi highlights the potential of leveraging on technology to provide inclusive learning opportunities.
This, he said could involve online education platforms, mobile learning applications, and other innovative solutions that bridge the gap for children in remote or underserved areas.
“Caleb Danladi’s proposed steps have gained attention from education advocates, policymakers, and international organizations.
“Discussions are underway to integrate these strategic measures into national and global education agendas, with the aim of creating a comprehensive and sustainable framework to tackle the out-of-school children crisis.
“As the global community rallies behind these transformative steps, there is hope that the vision outlined by Caleb Danladi will lead to tangible change, ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of education.
“The collective efforts to address the out-of-school children crisis represent a significant stride towards building a more inclusive and equitable future for generations to come and, above all, to ensure a crime-free society,” he stated.
