Eight (8) elected members of the Plateau State House of Assembly have sworn-in additional nine members out of the 16 that were declared by the Appeal Court Judgment, following the removal of duly elected PDP members.

Speaker of the Plateau Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, swore-in the members at the early hours of Friday at the House of Assembly Complex in Jos.

Those sworn-in include: Yusuf Dickson Chollom (Barkin Ladi); Abdul Adamu (Mangu North); Daniel Nanbol Lipstick (Langtang North Central) and Denti Laven Jacob (Pankshin South).

Others are: Abel Nansak (Langtang North); Bendel Nanchuat (Langtang South); Wallangko Sylvester Ibrahim (Bokkos); Kwarpo Matthew Sylvanus (Mangu South) and Eli Bako Ankala, Rukuba Ankala, with Isa Madaki Ajiji representing Jos East State Constituency as the Deputy Speaker.

Meanwhile, seven members from the declaration of the Court of Appeal that gave them the mandate were not among those sworn-in.

It could be recalled that, during the Appeal Court hearing, Tribunal Judgment collected the mandate of the people of Plateau State that elected the PDP members and declared the APC members on the grounds that there was “No structure of the Appeal.”
