Nigeria Government has been told that signing of the agreement with the EU-ACP Agreement Schedule for today will not add any value for this country; rather, it would destroy the nation the more.
This observation was made Wednesday by an educationist, Dr Mrs Ekaette Ettang, while speaking to journalists in Jos, when Secondary School students were protesting against the signing of the EU-ACP Agreement.
She noted that, “Nigeria is presently struggling with the issue of drugs abuse, gender violence and, if the ACP governments succumb to the European Union’s intimidation and sign the Lesbianism, Gay-marriage, Bisexual, Transgender and Bisexual (LGBT) agreement on November 15, it would spell doom for the nation,” arguing that the pact was primarily aimed at the homosexualisation and LGBTisation of the countries.
“I am concerned about the future of our children, because I know that any nation that has the moral compass can lead the world. We are not in colonial era, we are in a nation with subverting, and we have the right to protect our children from anything bad that is coming.
“That is not the building-up for them; it’s not adding any value for them, not adding any value for parents, not adding value for the nation or anybody.
“So, this agreement that, it appears the government wants to sign, I am saying NO to it. That is what is against families, against the nation and war against children destiny,” she stated.
She called on schools, parents and well-meaning Nigerians to rise up and say NO to it, adding that, “We have suffered enough and, should we add this course, this is a curse on us.
“If we add this, it would destroy the destiny and future of our children and the nation, and what value would it add to our nation’s identity, our agriculture, and our families?
“The truth is that, I value only destruction that is coming. What is happening at the Western world – they are trying to handle the confusion they are in now.”
According to her, “This would take the courage of nation, administrators, courage of parents and well-meaning Nigerians to stand up and say enough is enough and say NO to this manipulation that could spell doom for our children and future generations,” Dr Ettang stated.
The secondary school students where carrying placards with inscriptions such as: “Government should not sign the bill;” “We stand against LGBTQ;” “We say ‘No’ to EU-ACP, LGBTQ;” “ERROR, I am a boy, I am a girl, and LGBTQ is an error;” “We say no.”
