The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbemiga Emmanuel Adesina, and his management team have paid a visit to the House of Recab Orphanage, Jos, in company of Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Plateau State Command.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship that exists between the Police and the communities, as well as to show love, encouragement, and support for the young ones whom the CP described as “the future of Nigeria.”
Speaking at the venue, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of caring for the children and, therefore, promised to revitalise the security arrangement of the orphanage home, in order to ensure that both the children and staff of the home are safe at all times.
Also, the Chairperson of the Police Officers’ Wives Association, Mrs Esther Abosede Adesina, also expressed immense joy and love towards the children, praying for their wellbeing and encouraging them to be strong and not be intimidated.
The visit featured singing, special dance and songs presentation, art exhibition by the children and the presentation of cash and food items to the orphanage by the Commissioner of Police and his management team.
Mr. Anthony Toyin, who spoke on behalf of the coordinator, expressed gratitude for the visit, stating that it has added so much value to the lives of the House of Recab and the children under their care, showcasing the Police as true friends of the community.
