The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ishaku Musa, has directed the immediate deployment of 1,784 personnel to beef up security in the state and its environs before, during and after the Sallah period.
While briefing officers and men at the State Headquarters, Comd’t Ishaku ordered a “complete beefing-up of security” in all flashpoints and worship grounds across the 17 Local Government Areas of Plateau State.
A statement was signed and issued to newsmen in Jos by ASC NR Rimvyok, who is Civil Defence PRO of Plateau State Command, on Thursday, ahead of the 2024 Eld El Fitr celebration.
While congratulating all Muslim faithful for a successful Ramadan fast, the Commandant wished them a fruitful celebration of the 2025.
He further assured of the Corps commitment of the protection of critical National Assets and Infrastructure of the nation, life and property during the Eld-El Fitr.
According to him, the Corps will leave no stone unturned in dealing decisively with all miscreants, criminal and vandals who are planning to disrupt the relative peace the State is enjoying.
