The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command, Comdt Alexander Bissa Barunde, has reiterated the Corps’ commitment to ensuring peaceful coexistence and maintenance of law and order in the state and the country at large.
He made this known in a statement and issued to newsmen in Jos in commemoration of the 63rd Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.
Comdt Barunde assured the State Government and citizens of the state that the Corps will continue to work tirelessly in ensuring that lives and critical national assets are well protected and peace is maintained throughout the state.
He also emphasized that, “No one agency can achieve the feet in the area of peace, law and order in the state; hence, the need for all to synergize and work collaboratively to achieve the onerous task of National Security.”
The Commandant warned all miscreants to eschew forthwith whatever plans might be conceived to disrupt peace in the state, or the long arm of the law will definitely catch up and deal decisively with them. He felicitated with the State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, and a peaceful Independence Day celebration and prayed for the unity and progress of the country and the state.
