Between security operatives and rampaging bandits, it’s no longer a tea party, following consistent confrontation and offensive taken by the former against the later in recent time.

The move is aimed at intensifying the fight towards curtailing the rising terror activities in Kaduna State and its environment.

Almost on daily basis, when the bandits strike, the Nigeria Police or the Army responded swiftly with attacks that are most times more deadlier on the side of the terror groups, leading to them as fallen victims of the superior power of security operatives.

In one of the recent positive developments, troops, under the auspices of ‘Operation Whirl Punch’ and ‘Operation Forest Sanity II’ neutralized two bandits during clearance operations in Rijana general area of Kachia LGA.

According to operational feedback from security update to the Kaduna State Government, signed by Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner for Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, the troops began their advance, clearing several locations, including  Amale, Gidan Jatau, Gidan Danfulani and Gidan Duna with no resistance.

As the forces progressed to Gidan Dutse, the troops made contact with bandits and, in the ensuing firefight, two of the criminals were neutralized, while several others escaped with gunshot wounds.

The troops searched the area and recovered three AK-47 rifles, two motorcycles, two AK-47 magazines, 19 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two mobile phones and two MP3 players.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, expressed satisfaction at the report and congratulated the troops for another “sterling outing.” The governor praised the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen T.A. Lagbaja, and the unflinching morale of the troops, in the ongoing operations.
