After attending the Wednesday’s plenary session at the Red Chambers, where some matters of national interest were discussed, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, participated in the Committee meeting of the Senate Committee of Finance and the FIRS/NNPC on the state of tax credit infrastructure funding scheme.
Addressing issues around the current state of the Nigeria Economy took centre stage at the Senate.
Senator Lalong, who is a member of the Committee on Finance, joined his colleagues to raise questions on the level of release of funds and execution of the projects across the country.
In particular, Senator Lalong is pushing for Federal road projects in Plateau State to be captured and executed under the scheme.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the list of the 42 members of the Constitution Review Committee, with Senator Lalong, who represents Plateau State, also as a member.
