JOS: The Senator Representing Plateau North Senatorial District, Sen. Pam Mwadkwon Dachungyang, has felicitated with men and women of the Islamic faith as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.

In his message to the Muslim faithful in the State, the Senator noted thus: “Eid-el-Kabir is in honor of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son. This teaches us that we must all sacrifice for our country’s greatness.

“Without self-sacrifice, we will never see a better Plateau North of our dreams, and will always think, ‘what’s in it for me’ instead of ‘what’s in it for Plateau State and Nigeria.’ ”

He urged them, saying, “Therefore, imbibe Prophet Muhammad’s ideals and put Nigeria first in all we do,” and wished all Muslim faithful a happy Eid-el-Kabir in Plateau North, the State and Country as a whole.

Also, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Simon Bako Lalong, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria for marking another Eid-el-Kabir, a very important celebration in the Islamic faith.

Senator Lalong in a message said the festivity provides a special opportunity for Muslims to reflect on their faith and also reach out to people of other faiths and humanity at large.

According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir reiterates the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and calls on Muslims to imbibe the life of sacrifice, passion and compassion as exemplified through the sacrifice.”

The Senator particularly rejoiced with his constituents, who are celebrating the event, and prayed that they will celebrate in peace, love and harmony.

He used the opportunity to assure them that he will continue to work hard in meeting their aspirations through quality representation and attracting projects and programmes that will touch their lives positively.

Sen. Lalong urged Nigerians to support and pray for the government to enable it serve the people with integrity and steadfastness.
