The Plateau State Government has promised to give maximum support to Rotary International District 9127, in order to succeed with their 7 point program.

The State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, was represented by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ephraim Usman, at the installation as the Pioneer District Governor, Rotary International District 9127,  Rtn. Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri, at Crispan Hotel Jos.

He said, with the lineup of the 7 areas of their focal point, which include health, education and so on, it is part of Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s focus, especially in the communities.

He assured that, the State Government will work hand-in-hand with the Rotary Club to see what it can be able to deliver as dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots, especially in the local government areas of the state.

Rotarian Mike Nwanoshiri, who is a member of RC Jos Central, has had a very robust and eventful Rotary journey, which prepared him for higher responsibilities and leadership beyond the Club, since he joined RC Jos Central, in 2007.

His records reveal that, Rotarian Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri has devoted his time and resources to the service of humanity through the various tasking and sensitive positions he held at the Club and District levels.

In his acceptance speech after the Investiture and handing over the power of leadership to him, Rotarian Mike Nwanoshiri said, over the past years, Rotary District 9125 from where their brand new District 9127 was carved out, has achieved remarkable milestones.

“As we celebrate the new District, we recognize that our true strength lies not in our structure, but in the heart and minds of our members. We are the vision carriers, the dreamers and the doers, who will shape our collective future.

“We are the guardians of Rotary’s values, service, follow-ship, diversity, integrity, and leadership,” he stated.

While urging the members to embody these principles and uphold the highest standard of ethics and compassion, Rotarian Mike Nwanoshiri stressed that, they are the innovators, the problem-solvers and the game-changers.

“So, let us harness our creativity, expertise, and resources to tackle the complex challenges of our state, and let us strive for impactful projects that transform lives and inspire others to join our cause,” he urged.

Rotarian Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri further urged members to embrace fresh ideas, leverage technology and expand their reach to engage a diverse and vibrant community of Rotarians.

According to him, “In order to achieve our aims of a vibrant District, we are working towards chartering more active clubs. One has already chartered and three (3) are in the process of chartering.”

Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Investiture Committee, Rotarian Dr. Godwin Osaigbovo, said, Rotarian Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri as their new Governor, they are confident that under his leadership, their District will continue to thrive and make a positive impact in their communities.
