The Plateau State Government has relaxed the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, from 9am to 7Pm, reflecting the recent improvements in the security situation in the area.
With effect from Sunday, August 11, 2024, residents are now allowed to carry out their lawful activities between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM daily, pending further review.
This decision was taken by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, after extensive consultations with security agencies, expressing his deep appreciation to the people of the State for their steadfast patriotism and cooperation during these challenging times.
Governor Mutfwang also commended the security personnel for their dedication and professionalism in enforcing the curfew.
He called on all residents to continue their collaboration with security agencies to ensure the ongoing safety and security of lives and property.
