He said, those affected include Hon. Chrysanthus Dawam (Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning) and Hon. Jamila Tukur (Commissioner for Tourism, Culture, and Hospitality).

Also affected are: Hon. Dio Lamul (Special Adviser on Rural Development) and Hon. Moses Sule (Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency). The suspension takes immediate effect.

In an across-the-road development, Governor Mutfwang has approved the appointment of Mr. Stephen Pam Gadong as the Acting Head of Civil Service, Plateau State, whose appointment takes effect from 26th August, 2024.

Gadong’s appointment was also contained in the statement signed and issued to newsmen in Jos by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere.

This follows the retirement of Barr Mrs Rauta Joshua Dakok, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 60, on 24th August, 2024. Mr. Gadong, who previously served as Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services, will be sworn-in by the governor on a date to be announced.

Governor Mutfwang, in a statement, expressed his profound appreciation to Mrs. Dakok for her dedication and commitment to quality reforms in the Civil Service.

He commended her “steadfast support” in ensuring effective service delivery that has significantly contributed to the growth and development of Plateau State.

As she transitions from active service, the governor extended his best wishes to Mrs. Dakok and encouraged her to continue offering her invaluable counsel, as the state strives towards building a more productive and transparent Civil Service.
