Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has offered his heartfelt condolences to retired Justice Christine Dabup and the entire family on the death of her husband, Mr. Patrick Mairiga Dabup, after a prolonged illness.
While expressing his sympathies during a condolence visit to the Dabup family residence in Jos on Tuesday, he noted that Mr. Dabup’s passing “leaves a void not only within the family but also among those, who knew him,” praising his dedication and exemplary service in the nation’s health sector.
According to Mutfwang, Mr. Dabup’s impactful and meritorious career made an indelible mark on the progress and development of the health sector.
Speaking on behalf of himself, his family, the government, and the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang extended his deepest condolences to the Dabup family, and offered prayers for the deceased’s soul to find eternal peace with Jesus Christ.
In responding, a retired D.I.G., Potter Dabup, who spoke on behalf of the Dabub family, equally expressed delight over the governor’s visit and said the family has lost a true companion.
He noted that the deceased was a “rallying point for the family,” and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
In her response, Justice Dabup (rtd) expressed her gratitude for the governor’s visit and shared details of her husband’s illness and hospitalization. She also said that, Mr. Dabup served diligently in the public sector before retiring as an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
