Gov Caleb Mutfwang

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has urged Plateau State citizens residing in the United States to embody the quintessential “Plateau spirit” marked by love, togetherness, friendship, tolerance, and peace.

He made the appeal at the Gala Night of the 2023 Annual National Convention of Plateau State Association-USA, held in Maryland, United States of America.

Governor Mutfwang explained that, no single tribe on the Plateau can stand in isolation, no matter its strength, stressing the need for all Plateau sons and daughters residing in the Diaspora to unite and form a cohesive alliance aimed at mutual development. Such collective effort, he said, “is the first step towards ushering development back to their cherished homeland.”

President of Plateau State Association-USA, Dr. Bartholomew Shepkong, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Mutfwang for his exemplary leadership, in guiding the people of Plateau from the front.

Dr. Shepkong affirmed the Association’s commitment to collaborating with the Time is Now Administration on the Plateau, in order to attract substantial Foreign Direct Investments into the state, thereby propelling the state towards unprecedented growth and development.

The Gala Night was a melting pot of cultures and friendships, as representatives from various associations extended their support. Friends of PSA-USA, including the Zumunta Association, USA; Plateau State Diaspora Development Association, USA; Igala Association; Berom Association; Middle-Belt Association Canada; and distinguished guests from Kaduna, Igbo, Yoruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Cameroon, and other communities, graced the event with their presence.
