MD/CEO, Mr. Ogwuche, presents cheque to Crown Queen at weekend in Kaduna

Nassarawa State indigene, Miss Teesha Ogerinya Otunsha, has emerged Crown Queen of the 6th Nigerian’s Sarauniya Beauty Pageant showbiz held in Kaduna State, and has been awarded with a N1 million star prize as overall winner of the contest.

The ceremony for the presentation of cheque to the Crown Queen held weekend in Kaduna was attended by some ranking musicians, including Black-face, performing musician leader Don Oliver, and a veteran musician Samaila A. Ogwuche, widely known as “DanHausawa.”

In a statement, founder and organizer of the Sarauniya Beauty Pageant, Samaila Adoyi Ogwuche, stated that the grand event took place in Kaduna on December 10th, 2023, adding that “The competition serves as a platform for self-discovery, confidence-building, fostering unity among women nationwide and celebrating our rich cultures and diversity.”

He said, “The recently-concluded Miss Sarauniva Beauty Pageant, a prominent and prestigious event in Nigeria, crowned Her Royal Majesty, Miss Teesha Ogorinya Otunsha, from Nasarawa State, as the winner among 37 remarkable contestants representing the 36 states and the FCT.

“Mr. Ogwuche, a veteran musician, and entrepreneur known as DanHausawa, the founder and organizer of this significant beauty festival, reaffirmed his enduring commitment to supporting young talents,” he stated.

He also stated that he had, over the last 10 years, dedicated himself to various social development projects such as the “CHASU” talent project, Tehila Music Festival, Dandalin DanHausawa variety show, Gargajiya food and fashion festival, Miss Naija Beauty Pageant, Sarauniya Beauty Pageant, and numerous others.

“The 6th edition of Sarauniya, themed ‘Shine On,’ provided incredible opportunities for young women to flourish and explore their potential. 

“The competition served as a platform for self-discovery, confidence-building, fostering unity among women nationwide, celebrating our rich cultures, diverse fashion and empowering contestants with essential skills and financial support for their future ventures.

“The star prize, awarded to Miss Teesha in the Shine On edition, includes a brand ambassadorship for DanHausawa Media Nigeria Ltd and Naijatainment. This prestigious award aims to facilitate personal growth, academic pursuits, and further support the winner’s endeavors in creating a positive impact on society,” he reiterated.

Founder, DanHausawa, highlighted that the Sarauniya Beauty Pageant’s vision would also inspire young women to fearlessly pursue their dreams, embrace their individuality, and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

“This initiative, undoubtedly, paves the way for a brighter and more empowered future for all,” he said, appealing to industries’ captains, entrepreneurs, public servants and spiritual individuals to open their doors for Crown Queen to fulfill her pet projects for the good of the larger society.” 

During the ceremony, Black-face, who introduced himself, restated the travail between him and 2face Idibia years ago over release of music, titled: “Africa Queen.”
