A Nigeria/US-based Humanitarian expert, Chief Temitope Ajayi, widely known as “Mama Diaspora,” has expressed shocks over what transpired in Nigeria’s Humanitarian ministry, which led to the suspension of minister Betta Edu.

While she lauded President Bola Tinubu over the step taken so far against those suspected to be involved, Chief Ajayi, however, added that there could hardly any genuine accountability without immediate punishment for offenders anywhere in the world.

Her Royal Highness (HRH) Queen Mother Amb Amina Temitope Labinjo Ajayi (JP) Mama Diaspora, who is financier of the ‘Concerned Nigerian Women and Young Adults Movement’ in support of Bola Tinubu’s 2023 Presidential ambition, made the assertions in a chat with our correspondent.

An accomplished Accountant and Entrepreneur, Chief Ajayi, who had at various times been described by many as an “all-round humanitarian international figure – owing to her track records in America,” insisted that application of immediate punishment after investigation is key to checkmating corruption amongst public servants.

“Her Royal Majesty (HRM), Chief Ajayi, is the first female Nigerian beneficiary of three American Presidents’ Volunteer Service Award recipient,” Coordinators of the Movement, Abdul Usman and Mrs. Janet A. Attah, have revealed.

Abdul Usman and Mrs. Janet Attah also stated, “She is an expert with years of experience in global humanitarian services and charity, according to a statement issued by the groups’ leaders in northwestern Nigeria, obtained by our Kaduna correspondent.

“HRM Temitope Ajayi was conferred (2019 Gold Award), The White House, Washington/Trump Award 2020, as well as Joe Biden administration.

Chief Ajayi was also appreciated by the awarding institutions: “On behalf of our great Nation, I thank you for your service to fellow Americans and those most in need.

“Through your dedicated service, you have ensured the continuation of America’s unparalleled commitment to improving the lives of others,” it stated.

The suspension has ignited serious conversations around world, with Mama Diaspora and United States of America, US-based Nigerian Women International held on Tuesday, 9th January 2024, where she said “Such thing cannot happen in America.”
