Information from Kosa Village, in Kajuru LGA, where attack occurred indicates that 63 persons, including five years’ old children were among those kidnapped by the bandits that invaded the area.
The source, who is an indigenous Adara man, told our correspondent that the five years’ old children were innocently kidnapped, while on motorcycles, after a man was shot and killed in the area dominated by Muslims.
According to him, the bandits and kidnapping has become a regular incident in their area, revealing that his sister narrowly escaped abduction that also happened recently in the area.
He expressed disappointment that those, who suppose to speak on the incidents – like District Heads – are keeping quiet because of fear of being deposed for saying the truth to the media, describing it as unfortunate.
Meanwhile, the people of Kateri Village, along Abuja-Kaduna Road, who spoke to journalists on Tuesday through a mediator, also decried incessant bandits’ attacks, pleading to compile their incidents and send to help them publicize it soon.
Police spokesman, ASP Mansir Hassan of Kaduna State Police Command, has not made any official statements on the incidents, which reportedly occurred since Monday, when contacted.
