As the Eid-el-Fitr celebration kicks-off on the Plateau, the State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has called on the Muslim community to embrace love, peace, and unity, in order to foster a more cohesive state admired by all.
While reassured citizens of the state of his administration’s steadfast commitment to addressing the current security and economic challenges, Mutfwang stressed that, priority is being accorded to the welfare of all Plateau citizens.
He expressed hope that Plateau State will be restored back as a peaceful haven and a tourism hub, and called for continued prayers for the country’s leaders and the peace of both Plateau and Nigeria.
The governor, while felicitating with the Muslim Ummah in the State and across the nation on the successful completion of the 2024 Ramadan Fast, he rejoiced with the Muslim faithful and commended their dedication to selfless sacrifices, self-denial, and spiritual renewal.
He also encouraged them to embody the essence of Ramadan by advocating for good manners, humility, kindness, and charitable deeds towards the less-privileged, both during and beyond the fasting period.
While emphasizing the importance of integrating the virtues of Islam into daily life, Gov Mutfwang urged them to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and to be good ambassadors of Plateau and the nation at large.
