The President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, has described the election of the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, as a “divinely-ordained” development, aligned with God’s purpose for the state.
Speaking during a Sunday Worship Service at the ECWA Headquarters in Jos, Rev. Bagat stated that Governor Mutfwang’s emergence was orchestrated by God to restore the state and dismantle forces that have hindered its progress.
According to him, the Church remains fully supportive of the governor and will continue to pray for divine protection, wisdom, and guidance as he leads the state with integrity and dignity.
“God has brought Governor Mutfwang to accomplish great things in Plateau. Since his assumption of office, we have seen God using him to dismantle the works of darkness,” Rev. Bagat said.
He emphasized that despite ongoing security challenges in the state, the Church remains steadfast in faith and confident of victory, adding, “As a God-fearing denomination, we identify with your leadership. The progress recorded so far is a testament to divine backing.”
Rev. Bagat further assured the governor of unwavering support from the Christian community, stressing that no form of intimidation would be tolerated.
“Remain focused on your mission. God, who brought you at this critical time, will empower you to deliver Plateau from its challenges,” he urged.
In his response, Governor Mutfwang expressed deep appreciation to the ECWA leadership and the entire congregation for their warm reception and continued support.
He acknowledged that his election was, by God’s grace, not personal merit, and commended the people of Plateau State for their trust and cooperation.
The governor also called for stronger collaboration among communities, faith-based organizations, parents, and security agencies to protect vulnerable children and secure the future of the state.
The Church offered prayers for Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and all government officials, asking that God’s light within them shine brightly, overcoming and dispelling every form of darkness, and guiding their leadership with wisdom, righteousness, and clarity of purpose.
