Gombe State Government has explored partnership with National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in order to boost E-Governance and Digital Literacy.

The State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, paid a visit to Headquarters of the Agency in Abuja recently, to actualize the partnership process.

He met with the Director-General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, with their discussion focusing on ways to strengthen collaboration aimed at advancing digital literacy and E-governance initiatives in Gombe State to boost administrative efficiency and elevate service delivery.

A key aspect of the partnership will revolve around capacity building, with a focus on equipping thousands of youths and women in Gombe with essential digital skills through valuable training programmes.

The meeting holds particular significance as Gombe State was recently recognized by NITDA as the ‘Most Digitally-Compliant State’ during the Digital Nigeria Conference Dinner and Awads 2023.

The State, under the leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, has set an ambitious goal to automate all government operations within the next four years to align with broader national efforts towards a more digitally-inclined governance structure.

The State is known for its skilled manpower; proudly holds the position of the ‘Best State in Ease of Doing Business’ in Nigeria.

The collaboration with NITDA is poised to further amplify this reputation and facilitate the integration of cutting-edge technology into various sectors, in order to ensure that Gombe remains at the forefront of digital transformation in the country.
