The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau State Command, Commandant Alexander Bissa Barunde, has assured the general public that the Corps has deployed two thousand five hundred (2500) officers and men for both covert and physical duties in the state to ensure safety of critical national assets and infrastructure, life and property and ensure hitch-free celebrations.

While wishing all Christians and the general public a spirit-filled Christmas and a prosperous New Year celebrations, Commandant Barunde urged all and sundry to celebrate peacefully and report any suspicious movement(s) that could lead to breach of peace and or breakdown of law and order.

This was made known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Jos by ASC Nanko Ruth Rimvyok, who is civil defence public relations officer (CDPRO) Plateau State Command.

He assured that the Corps, in collaboration with other agencies, is working round-the-clock to ensure that crime is reduced to the barest minimum and miscreants be put out of the streets.

But he warned mischief makers to sheath their plans, as law enforcement agencies will leave no stone unturned until they are brought to book and dealt with decisively when caught.
