Former Commissioner of Finance, who featured throughout the eight years of Malam Nasir El-Rufai administration and two times former Chief of Staff Government House, Kaduna, Muhammad Bashir Saidu, has been suspended from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kaduna State.
Muhammad Bashir Saidu, who was also one time Commissioner Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State, and a one time State Secretary of the APC, is also presently one of the closest persons and political ally of former Kaduna State Governor, Mal. Nasir El-Rufai, is dated 21st October 2023.
Although, the reasons for his suspension was not explicitly clearly stated, according to the letter signed by Angwan Kaya Gyallesu Ward Chairman and Secretary of APC, Usman Sani and Kabiru Zubaru, the former Commissioner was suspended by the party Executive, based on fact-finding committee recommendations that confirmed his offence against the party.
The suspension letter, bearing APC Zaria local government area Gyallesu Ward, stated that the suspension was pursuant to power conferred on the ward executive by party constitution.
“In pursuant to powers conferred on us by Article 21(4) & (B) of our great party the All Progressives Congress Constitution, as amended, we wish to convey the unanimous decision of the Ward Executive Committee ratifying the fact-finding committee recommendations confirming your offence against our great party.
“Consequently, we regret to inform you that you are hereby suspended from
the party until further notice. This resolution shall be communicated to the Local Government Executive Committee for necessary action,” it stated.
More efforts are being made to reach out the victims for further clarifications of the main reason for his suspension, as we could not get his attention until press time.
