The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State earlier had its internal crises, following a faction of the party that went ahead and conducted yet another ‘congress’ of electing another State EXCO after the first Congress was held.

Chairman of the confirmed EXCO of the party, Hon. Raymond Dabo (popularly called, “Uncle Ray”) has disclosed that, the “PDP’s internal crisis is now a history; and the party would resume full operations from this week, with a packed schedule of state meetings.”

Hon. Dabo disclosed this in an interview with journalists at a wedding in Bokkos Local Government of Plateau, where he noted with high morale, that, “The party is battle-ready and will record a landslide victory, if elections were held today.”

He also congratulated the couple, and described marriage as a “divine adventure” that thrives on tolerance, forgiveness, communication, and prayer.

He further disclosed that, “We’ve put the problem behind us. By Monday, we will hold the State Working Committee meeting; Tuesday is EXCO, Wednesday is SEC. After that, we are good to go.”

While expressing “strong confidence” in PDP’s hold on Plateau politics, Hon. Dabo was emphatic that, the party’s dominance is in the state’s DNA.

According to him, “APC has never been a real threat here; the DNA of a Plateau man is PDP. If there’s an election tomorrow, I can guarantee you PDP will produce all three senators, five of the eight House of Representatives members, and 18 of the 23 House of Assembly seats. And, if it waits till February, we will clear every seat.”

He added that, once the party’s meetings conclude, it would immediately begin mobilizing across the state.
