Plateau State Muslim Pilgrim Board has reportedly lost one of its female pilgrims, Hajiya Jamila Muhammad, on Monday, 2nd of June, 2025, at the King Abdul’aziz Hospital Makka, as a result of diabetic complications, according to the doctors.
The Executive Secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Daiyabu Dauda, said when the issue was reported to him, he directed the medical team to immediately take her to the hospital for proper medication, “in line with the directives of our Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.”
He said the Amirul Hajj as well as some other officials alongside relatives of the deceased attended her funeral prayers at the Grand Mosque, and she has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
According to him, “Just as Allah says, ‘And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him – his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah’ (Quran 4:100).”
“The Executive Secretary wishes to extend heartfelt condolences to Government of Plateau State, her immediate family, friends and relatives for this irreparable loss. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and admit her into Aljantul firdau (highest place in paradise); Amin.”
