In a gruesome manner, heavily-armed terrorists groups have reportedly invaded Bwalagang Village, in Chibok LGA of Borno State, northeast Nigeria.
During the invasion, which reportedly occurred around 6pm on Tuesday, two persons were killed, while church and several houses were razed down by the terror groups identified as Boko Haram and ISWAP.
Full details about the attacks still remain scanty at the time of filling these reports. Sources, however, alleged that one of the dead victims has eight children.
Most of the locals, who confirmed the incident when contacted on phone for clarification, refused to be identified, for fear of vindictiveness, but lamented that, Bandits’ attacks, kidnapping and killings has become a regular incident.
All efforts to speak to Chibok community and immediate past leader of the community failed for inability to reach the former, while the latter, who confirmed and condemned the attack, declined comments for “not permitted to speak.”
An activist and indigene of the area, Rev. Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa, who earlier confirmed the attacks and killings, said the two victims have been buried by their kinsman, stating that “The name of the village is Bwalagang, and the Boko Haram terrorists burnt down almost the whole village.”
He added that the church, popularly known as “EYN,” located in the area, was set ablaze in an operation that took an hour.
