Troops have again reportedly conducted clearance patrols and neutralized three bandits along Gonan Rogo-Eka axis of Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State.
According to operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, “The troops conducted special clearance patrols in the above-named area and made contact with bandits.
“After an exchange of fire, three of the criminals were summarily neutralized,” according to a release by the Overseeing Commissioner for Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Mr. Samuel Aruwan.
“The troops,” the release added, “scoured the immediate vicinity and recovered two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines and 81 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
“Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, thanked the security forces for the feedback and commended the troops – under the leadership of the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division Nigerian Army, Maj-Gen MLD Saraso, for intensifying efforts to ensure a peaceful Eid celebration for citizens.”
The statement stressed that, “the troops will continue special fighting patrols within the general area and other locations of interest.”
