Plateau State Deputy Governor, Hon Mrs Josephine Piyo, has congratulated teachers in the state on World Teachers Day celebration, which is commemorated on October 5 each year.
In a congratulatory message signed and issued to our correspondent in Jos, by Press Secretary, Martha A. Nyam, the DG appreciated teachers for their unique roles and immense contributions to the development of the society, particularly in transforming and shaping the future of education amid the growing societal needs and challenges.
She also appreciated teachers for their doggedness and dedication in instilling knowledge and grooming best minds in the state and nation as a whole.
She earnestly urged teachers to have an unwavering commitment and dedication to their noble profession and renewed commitment to duty. She stated that, Governor Mutfwang-led administration is determined to develop the educational sector and uphold the interest and welfare of teachers in Plateau State to enable it compete favorably in contemporary society.
