“I travelled through the central region of Nigeria called the Middle-Belt. The area consists of savannah grassland, very suitable to agriculture. In fact, they feed most of Nigeria. The scenery is a beauty to behold. There are uplands, broad valleys and wonderfully-shaped mountains; it is the tourist’s haven. The people are something else altogether. Though, they speak hundreds of different languages, their tongues sound harmonious. They are stocky, hardworking, upright and very friendly. Their lands are full of precious stones and solid minerals. Economically, the Middle-Belt is Nigeria’s region of the moment and the future. It is the Place to Be!” – A foreign tourist.
