In a recurring decimal, terrorists have again reportedly invaded Kuyanbana Village, of Rumaya community, Kauru LGA of Southern Kaduna, in Kaduna State, and kidnapped no fewer than 10 people, including men and women.
Those kidnapped in an area close to military formation include: Anthony Gambo, Sule S. Maigari, Asabe Sule, Makuku Joshua, Bako Bagobiri, Regina Nehemiah, Kabiru Ishaku, Lemich Ishaku, Solomon Barnabas and Kaninzo Maitala, respectively.
The incident, which reportedly occurred Thursday of 23rd October, 2025, has already been condemned by the LG Community Development Association, in a statement signed by its Spokesman, Daniel Danau, for Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Billy Ishaya La’ah.
The statement, made available Friday, averred that “The Kauru Local Government Community Development Associations (CDAs) Forum strongly condemns the kidnapping of 10 innocent individuals, from Kuyanbana Village, Rumaya community, around 10:30pm, on Thursday, 23/10/2025, by unknown gunmen.”
It added that, “While sympathizing with the victims, we are calling on the Kaduna State Government and security agencies to take immediate action to secure the safe release of the abducted individuals.
“This recurring kidnappings in our local government area are a cause for concern, despite the presence of military formations in Dokan Karji, in Kauru Chiefdom, Damakasuwa, in Tsam and Kwassam in Kumana Chiefdom, which is very close to where the incidence happened.
“This is uncalled for, and we urge the authorities concerned to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of this unfortunate act, and bring them to justice,” CDAs lamented.
The association also appealed to the government to, as a matter of urgency, “find ways of ending this barbaric act of kidnapping and killing of innocent people, by intensifying more security surveillance, as many communities can longer sleep with their two eyes closed due to fear of the unknown.”
“Once again, as we stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and pray for their safe return, we call on the communities in Kauru Local Government Area to continue to be vigilant, cooperate with security agencies and report any suspicious movement, to prevent further attacks,” it stated.
