The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Plateau State Command has assured Plateau State citizenry that the Corps has deployed 2,000 officers and men for both covert and physical duties in the state to ensure safety of critical national assets and infrastructure, life and property and ensure hitch-free Easter celebrations.
The Plateau State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Comd’t Alexander Bissa Barunde, encouraged all and sundry to celebrate peacefully and report any suspicious movements that could lead to breach of peace and/or breakdown of law and order.
A statement to this effect was signed and issued to newsmen in Jos by ASC Nanko Ruth Rimvyok, who is CDPRO Plateau State Command.
While wishing all Christians and the general public a spirit-filled Easter celebrations, Alexander Bissa Barunde assured that, “The Corps, in collaboration with other agencies, is working round-the-clock to ensure that crime is reduced to the barest minimum, and miscreants put out of the streets.”
He warned mischief makers to sheath their plans, as law enforcement agencies will leave no stone unturned until they are brought to book and dealt with decisively when caught.
