The Vehicle Inspection Office of Plateau State has given an award to the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Plateau State Council, Ayuku Pwaspo, for “promoting safer road transport systems in Nigeria.”

The Award was a Special Recognition Award for her outstanding contributions to road safety and support for the Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) in the State.

 The award was presented during the National Conference of Directors and Chief Road Traffic Officers, held in Jos, Plateau State, which brought together key stakeholders and leaders from across Nigeria’s transport and safety sectors.

According to the organizers, Pwaspo was “found worthy due to her remarkable efforts in supporting the VIO and advancing safety in the road transport sector.

“Her sustained contributions have strengthened the operational effectiveness of traffic officers and enhanced national efforts towards safer road practices.”

The NUJ Chairman, Mrs. Ayuku Pwaspo, expressed appreciation to the organizers for the honor, describing the award as an encouragement to continue her advocacy for improved road safety awareness and compliance.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at reducing road accidents and promoting safer transportation across the country.
