The Kanam Progressive Youth has called on President Bola Tinubu to nominate Prof. Saleh Muhammad Galadima Kanam as the Minister, following the resignation of Barr Simon Lalong as the Minister of Labour and Employment, having reclaimed his mandate as the Senator of the Southern Zone Senatorial District.
They also called on the All Progressives Congress (APC), to reward hard work, commitment and party loyalty by recommending a worthy replacement.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman, Hon. Ali Abdullahi, while briefing journalists at the NUJ Press Center, Jos, Thursday, said “Prof. Galadima Kanam is qualified to fill in the vacancy and add value to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.”
According to him, Prof. Kamam is an erudite Professor of Law, who is adequately equipped with repertoire of knowledge, skills and experience to be a Minister and Member of the Federal Executive Council in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet.
“He is an APC finest in the State, who has track record of excellence in service, doggedness, capacity and administrative acumen to deliver, if given the opportunity as a Minister.”
He explained that, the Professor “is a detribalised Nigerian whose personality is synonymous in discipline, decorum, candour and stamina and a staunch supporter of the APC and President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
The Youth chairman further stated that, Kanam’s pedigree in academic and contribution to the political struggle over the years cannot be hidden within Plateau State political pace.
