The Eze Igbo of Kaduna, His Royal Highness Eze Silvanus Aleke, has conferred a traditional title on popular activist and northern youth leader, Amb. Yerima Usman Shettima, describing him as a true friend and supporter of unity across Nigeria.

The event took place during the Abia Cultural Day Celebration and Fundraising for the construction of the Abia State Secretariat, held in Kaduna by the Abia State Indigenes Welfare Association.

Speaking at the ceremony, Eze Aleke said the title, “Ezi Enyi Ndi Abia,” meaning, “Good Friend of Abia,” was in recognition of Ambassador Shettima’s consistent support for peace, national integration, and community development.

Ambassador Yerima Shettima, a senatorial aspirant under the APC for Kaduna Central, expressed gratitude for the honour, saying it reflects the friendship and cooperation between the North and the South East.

The event held at Open Prisons, Barnawa, Sunday also honoured other illustrious indigenes of Abia State, including Chief Chimezie Enyiocha as Trustee of Absiwa Kaduna, amongst other dignitaries.
