Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has decorated his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Ashigar Baba Kulbu, with the new rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

A brief ceremony was held in the Government House on Monday, during which Zulum performed the decoration, and was assisted by the Borno State Commissioner of Police, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal.

Before the new rank, officer Ashigar was Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), according to a statement released by the governor’s SSA on new media, Abdurrahman Bundi, on Tuesday.

Zulum, while congratulating the ADC, also commended his commitment and dedication to serving the country.

“I want to congratulate you on your new rank. This is, undoubtedly, the result of your hard work and dedication to your duty. Therefore, I urge you to continue serving the country dutifully,” Zulum remarked.

The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur; Secretary to the Borno State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani; Head of Service, Barr. Mallam Fannami; Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar, and other senior government officials and officers of the Borno Police Command.
