Tragedy has again struck in Kachia LGA of Kaduna South, leaving eight people reportedly confirmed dead.
The incident, which occurred in the morning in Wake Village in Kachia LGA, left eight killed, with over 20 people injured and several others kidnapped.
This was contained in a statement shared Sunday by ex-Chairman Middle-Belt Forum (MBF) Kaduna State, Comrade Isaac Tanko.
He also stated, “It’s disheartening to see the world remain silent, seemingly driven by hypocrisy and political agendas. May God save Southern Kaduna.”
Isaac Tanko further lamented that, “8 killed, 20 left wounded and others kidnapped in wake of community in Kachia Local Government.
“When I was Chairman MBF, Kaduna State Chapter, we made it clear in a widely-publicized press statement that granting pardon to bandits terrorists was fundamentally wrong, crudely bizarre and an insult to their victims both dead and surviving.
“We also said it’s a lie, that, security has not improved in Southern Kaduna, citing isolated killings and mass kidnap of our people. I believe that the current exco still stands on that part,” he insisted.
Comrade Tanko alleged that the “Government is controlling the media as well as some appointees of government from Southern Kaduna; I am not alleging,” the statement added.
Contacted, the Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, DSP Mansir Hassan, was yet to respond before the time of filing these reports.
