The Funom Rimar Less-Privileged Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has formally been launched in Kaduna, with a commitment to delivering global-standard humanitarian services in Nigeria.

In a statement issued Wednesday in Kaduna, the foundation’s Executive Director, Abraham Dauwa, said the NGO aimed to “lead in the service to humanity by upholding global standards” and build a reputation as a professional, disciplined, and efficient provider both in Nigeria and abroad.

The foundation’s mission is to offer specialized, modern and innovative medical support services responsive to community needs, with an initial focus on paying hospital bills for what it described as “detained patients” and providing food support to affected families.

“Too often, humanitarian work is done with good intentions but without the discipline and efficiency that people deserve,” Dauwa said.

“We are here to change that narrative. Our commitment is to serve with excellence, transparency, and respect for every life we touch – to free detained patients in hospitals.”

In its first-phase, the foundation will also focus on community health outreach programs and emergency relief efforts in Kaduna and its surrounding states.

“It plans to partner with local leaders, government agencies, private institutions, health practitioners, and international bodies to ensure impact and sustainability.”

Founded on principles of professionalism, accountability, and compassion, the NGO said it intends to bridge gaps in humanitarian response by combining international best practices with local community engagement.

The launch marks the first step in what the foundation called a “long-term mission – to redefine humanitarian service delivery in Nigeria and create a model for global replication.”
