The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially declared the winners of its Plateau State primary elections for the Senatorial seat and the Federal House of Representatives ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Announcing the results by Stella Potter, who chairs the APC Primary Election Committee, at the Party Office in Jos, Tuesday, she declared that, at the senatorial districts, the committee declared Simon Bako Lalong as the APC candidate for Plateau South Senatorial District; David Bitrus Barji for Plateau Central Senatorial District, while Simon Mwadkwon is for Plateau North Senatorial District.
According to her, the Federal House of Representatives successful candidates, who emerged across the various federal constituencies, are: Hon. Beni Lar, for Langtang North/Langtang South Federal Constituency; Joe Dashi, for Shendam, Qua’anpan, Mikang Constituency, while Ishaya Lalu is for Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency.
Others include: Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, forPankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency; Rt. Hon. Idris Wase, for Wase Federal Constituency; Dachung Musa Bagos, representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, and Dalyop Fom, for Barkin-Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency.
She commended the State Governor, the APC State leadership, party stakeholders, delegates, and supporters for their cooperation and peaceful conduct throughout the exercise.
While describing the primaries as successful, Stella Potter commended the aspirants for demonstrating maturity, discipline, and commitment to the unity of the party.
She explained that, “The APC is the ultimate winner of this exercise. While one person may emerge as candidate, every aspirant remains a valuable stakeholder in our collective victory.”
Stella Potter equally appreciated the APC National Chairman and members of the National Working Committee for entrusting the committee with the responsibility of conducting the primaries.
She urged party members to remain united and focused ahead of the general elections, stressing that, “A united APC would remain an unstoppable political force in Plateau State and across Nigeria.”
The APC committee chairman further prayed for continued peace and success for Plateau State, the ruling party, and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
