JOS: The leadership of the Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives (PIDAN) has call on the Federal Government and State Government as well as all security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators of the recent heinous attack on Rukuba community and immediately bring them to justice.

“We commend the Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, for taking immediate steps to visit the area of the attack and commiserate with the victims, their families and community at large.

“PIDAN extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the entire Angwan Rukuba community and Plateau State at large.”

A statement was signed by Amb. Danjuma Nanpon Sheni, who is PIDAN President, Danjuma Dickson Auta, as well as Secretary-General, PIDAN, and issued to our Correspondent in Jos on Monday.

The leadership of the Plateau Initiative for Development and Advancement of the Natives also condemned in the strongest terms, the gruesome attack by terrorists on the community of Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area in the evening of 29th March, 2026.

As of the time of this report, 27 innocent citizens have been reported killed, while several others had suffered various degrees of injuries and are currently receiving attention in various medical centres in Jos.

“These killings are barbaric, unprovoked, and a direct assault on the peace and security of Plateau State. The continuous killings of Plateau people by these criminal militias are no longer acceptable.”

While calling on the government and security agencies to take immediate action to tame these killers, PIDAN added that, “The patience of the people in the state has reached its zenith, and the people will have no option but to take definitive action to defend ourselves.”

According to them, they cannot continue to fold their arms, while the blood of innocent and harmless people flows in the streets, at the hands of these enemies of peace.
