Interfaith Mediation Center (IMC) is billed to host the October 2025 edition of Kaduna Monthly Climate Hangout, with focus on raising awareness about environmental challenges and protecting biodiversity and climate journalism.
The Center, in collaboration with African Climate Reporters (ACR) and the Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Climate Change, will host the October edition of the Kaduna Monthly Climate Hangout on Wednesday, 8th October 2025.
The initiative aims to raise public awareness about pressing environmental challenges, including deforestation, climate change, and the threat of extinction facing many plant and animal species.
It also seeks to foster dialogue among key stakeholders to promote sustainable solutions for environmental protection, according to report from IMC, signed by Mr. Samson Auta and Mallam Hayatu Ashafa – Directors, Interfaith Mediation Center Monday.
The event is expected to bring together scientists, environmental journalists, civil society organizations, NGOs, and research institutions for a one-hour roundtable discussion designed to share insights and propose actionable strategies for safeguarding Kaduna State’s natural resources and biodiversity.
The Monthly Climate Hangout is a voluntary initiative created by like-minded environmental advocates, who are committed to building a greener and more sustainable Kaduna.
Other organisers include: Hon. Yusuf Yusuf Idris Amoke – Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Climate Change; Ibrahima Yakubu – Science and Environment Journalist; Head of Communication & Strategy, African Climate Reporters, respectively.
