It was Kudos, when Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) on Thursday announced a Local Civic Media Sustainability Fund (LCMSF).
The fund is to serve as a catalytic intervention aimed at supporting newsrooms, platforms, and storytellers working at the grassroots.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Center’s CEO, Dapo Olorunyomi, (OON), and made available to newsmen across the states.
“Today, CJID announce a Local CIVIC Media Sustainability Fund, a catalytic intervention aimed at supporting newsrooms, platforms, and storytellers working at the grassroots.
“This Fund will offer a lifeline to media actors covering local governance, civic issues, community development, and public accountability, while also creating new models for revenue, reach, and resilience,” it stated.
