Kaduna State’s Commissioner of Health, Hajiya Umma K. Ahmed, has reiterated the unwavering commitment to the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, to strengthening the health sector.
The Commissioner made this statement, while welcoming participants to the 2025 Stakeholders Retreat of Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA), in Zaria LGA of the state.
She emphasized that, Uba Sani administration remained dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted access to essential medicines and health products, with a strong focus on transparency in procurement and distribution.
“This commitment ultimately aims to improve health outcomes for the people of Kaduna State,” she stated.
Hajiya Umma highlighted a significant milestone – the recent upgrade of the state’s warehouse to a pharma-grade facility, which enhanced the supply chain management in the region.
The retreat focused on strengthening the Kaduna State Health Supply Chain System, and it served as an opportunity to integrate digital innovations that leverage technology for enhanced inventory management and effective tracking of health commodities.
While appreciating the leadership of KADHSMA and the contributions of development partners, the Commissioner urged participants to leverage on technology for optimizing resource utilization, strengthen collaboration with development partners, and enhance accountability mechanisms.
The retreat provided a strategic platform to reflect on the progress made, identify challenges, and develop innovative strategies for supply chain activities.
The Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA) plays a pivotal role in realizing this vision.
