A Staff of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Bashir Umar, has been reportedly kidnapped by people suspected to be gunmen.
He was reportedly kidnapped on 16th December, 2024, on his way back from Zamfara State to Zaria in Kaduna State, according eyewitness report.
Our correspondent reported that no reason has been advanced on Umar’s travelling to Zamfara State and his subsequent abduction. The reports, however, had it that Umar is attached to Zaria substation of the NTA.
Social media reports obtained on Monday confirmed that “NTA Zaria Bashir Umar was kidnapped on his way from Zamfara State to Zaria today, Monday 16/12/2024.”
