Following the repeal of acts and official installation of the Sanusi Lamido Sanuai ll, as Emir of Kano, there are revelations that a state-of-emergency maybe declared in Kano State, as “federal might” being coordinated to implement the court order against the installation is on top gear.
Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, is left in the cold and has no single control over any security outfit, as police and other security agencies have refused to carry out his instructions – to arrest the deposed Emir, Aminu Ado.
A northern business mogul and Chairman/Managing Director (MD) Dialogue Computers, Mahdi Shehu, made the revelations in his X.com/shehu mahdi status, he posted and shared with our reporter Saturday in Kaduna.
His words: “Kano: final onslaught, state of emergency may be the final stroke. Federal might being coordinated to implement the court order against Sanuni’s installation is on high gear.
“Governor Abba is left in the cold as he has no single control over any security outfit. Indeed, police and other security agencies have refused to carry out Governor Abba’s instruction to arrest the deposed Emir, Aminu Ado.”
Mahdi Shehu also stated that, “In the next 48 hours, I envisage and predict: Forceful Eviction of Sanusi out of the royal palace he moved into yesterday, forceful movement of Aminu Ado back into the royal residence he was evicted from 3 days ago.”
Mahdi is of the view that “In the event of active resistance from supporters of both visible and invisible camps, breach of the peace may occur in Kano,” he noted.
According to Mahdi, “With the above incidents, the Federal Government will use all rights available to it and declare state of emergency in Kano State, remove the governor, dissolve the state legislature, appoint a serving or retired military/security personnel as sole administrator. National Assembly will assume the role of the Kano State Legislature, etc.”
Accordingly, he predicted that “Thus, Kano will be an additional APC state by force, by proxy, by blackmail – all on account of avoidable political blunders and miscalculations by naive, rude, and desperate politicians and their cohorts.”
