Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, will today (Tuesday) preside over the official farewell and launch ceremony for two hundred (200) Plateau State students proceeding to Sanskaram University, India, under the Mutfwang Legacy Scholarship Scheme.

The scholarship scheme, according to the governor, is a strategic and forward-looking intervention designed to equip young Plateau citizens with relevant knowledge, skills, and global exposure that will enable them to compete favourably with their peers across the world.

In a press statement issued in Jos, Governor Mutfwang described the initiative as part of his administration’s “enduring commitment to human capital development, education, and the deliberate grooming of a new generation of globally-competitive professionals,” who will contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic transformation of Plateau State.

The launch and farewell ceremony is scheduled to hold today, December 30, 2025, at the National Youth Centre, behind the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Lamingo, Jos, by 11:00 a.m.

The event will formally usher Plateau State’s finest sons and daughters into the global academic space, marking another milestone in the governor’s vision – to “leave a lasting legacy of opportunity, excellence, and inclusive development.”
